The Sisterhood of Snarky Stamps (SoSS) "I" is for Image

Yup, it's that time again... Challenge No. 41 is up for the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers and this one was a wee bit challenging for me because Edna says "I" is for IMAGE... which means NO WORDS on the front of your card - ONLY An Image.
"WHAT!? No Words???" Have you MET ME! Giggle, but I managed (grin).  To create this card I used a graphic image that I purchased from Jessica Weible Illustrations.  I LOVE On-line shopping and download-able images so I don't have to wait!

I printed it, cut it out and popped it overtop of an embossed piece of cardstock... A few strategically placed jewels and it was done... Seriously HOW EASY IS THAT?
And this is a second card using a different embossing folder and pearls.

Now here is the fun part... what sentiment did I use inside??
The SWEET one:  First we had each other. Then we had YOU. Now we have Everything.

The Slightly Sarcastic one: "I think I don't want Any More Adventures." (from my Dyan Reavely stamp set.

Or The Laugh-Out-Loud and Snort-your-Coffee one: If you think breaking a  mirror brings bad luck, try breaking a condom!

And I would LOVE If you leave me a comment to let me know which one YOU loved the best!!

Thanks for popping in today to see what I created and please do pop on over to the Sisterhood to see what THEY created for this challenge.... and if you want to play along (which we would LOVE) you have until September 4th to link up your Image-only project.
Cheers!

Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers Challenge #40 - "U" is for Ugly!

Welcome all to the 40th challenge for the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers - "U" is for UGLY!  You have two weeks to create something that fits the theme and link up to our Blog!

Now I spent an entire hour trying to find "ugly paper" in my extremely substantial stash but could find NONE - it turns out that I can see beauty in every sheet of paper I own (big Smile). So instead I decided to use one of my Dyan Reaveley stamps that I find so funny but do not use very often because it is so inappropriate for anyone I like unless they have the same sarcastic sense of humour that I enjoy.

I LOVE it when the perfect saying matches up with the perfect image.  I used Marlow, an itty bitty stamp from Unity Stamp Company - I can hear her saying this in a drawling voice, slightly sarcastic and a little bit bored, can't you?  Now who to send it too??? Grin
So pop on over to our blog at the Sisterhood and check out what kind of UGLINESS my Sisters created and why not link up something for a chance to be selected as a Queen or Princess of Snarkiness?  I would LOVE to see your stuff.
Cheers

Now THAT'S Snarky! (A Collaboration between The Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers and Scrap Our Stash)

Hello Peeps!!! Today as one of the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers design team I am showing you what I created for the "Now THAT'S Snarky" challenge over at Shopping Our Stash - Yup, they asked us if we would be interested in joining them in a Crossover Challenge - 'cuz we are just SO DARNED SNARKY! Grin

I am excited to show you what I came up with ... not a card but an Altered Mini-Tote!  I found this little darling in my local dollar store and got so excited about the size and the price that I bought all 13 they had left on the hook! This is the first one I have altered but I have PLANS.

I used Archival ink to stamp one of my favorite Suzi Blu Unity stamps "LaLa Girl" images and colored her using my HUGE collection of Sharpie Markers.  Note: the Sharpies for fabric did not bleed like the other pens did and I used a Sharpie fine liner to re-draw some of my black lines.

The lettering is all my own, inspired after reading JoAnne Sharpe's best selling book "The Art Of Whimsical Lettering" A book I can absolutely endorse if you want to improve your own hand-written lettering.

And finally I embellished my mini-tote using just a bit of my HUGE inventory of bling - and I am super excited about finally finding a use for my collection of glitter tape - Grin.
You may have noticed that my bag has some shiny bits because I also applied CTMH Liquid Glass to the lettering and to bits of my Girlie I wanted to highlight.
Now I got this quote from a stamp my dear friend Lisa from Texas had.  It said:
"You can't Ground me.  I am the Princess" Kaitlin Schach, age 7
And for some reason this TOTALLY resonated with me... Big GIANT Smile!

So why not pop on over to the SISTERHOOD to see what my sisters have created and also to the Shopping our Stash challenge blog to see what their amazing team came up with and then we would LOVE IT if you were inspired to join us!  (come on, you know you want too! Grin)
Yours in Snarkiness
Lynne!!!
